Sticky Walnut… it’s about time

 

Sticky Walnut opened in 2011. Which feels like a LIFETIME ago.

And in kitchen years (is that a thing?) it might well be. 

It’s well known that when we were opening Sticky we were doing it on a tight budget. So much so that we had to choose between a new combi-oven or new tables and chairs. We chose the oven.

And that’s seen us well through the years but it’s 2024 now so it’s high-time for an upgrade.

“Why crowdfund? What do I get back?”

 

We’ve done this before. Seven times to be precise. Over the years we’ve successfully crowdfunded over £900k through Kickstarters with 8000 backers supporting us. And truth be told it just works, we know you all like getting involved and seeing the number rise against the clock.

Yes there are other places we could go to raise the funds needed for this. Banks being one. But we don’t get along very well with them most of the time. So we’d prefer to do things our own tried and tested way.

So we’re back and asking you lovely lot to pay for your meals in advance. That’s it. That’s how it works. 

The most popular reward is the gift voucher with credit, where you give us £50 now and you can claim £50 back in the future when you dine. But on top of that we’ll also be offering the classic name on the wall reward, aprons, a chance to come and party with us at the launch and a few private dinners. 

For those of you not local to the North West we have a few dates for our Elite Bistro At Home menu boxes too which can be delivered across the UK (some postcode exclusions apply)

“What’s the timeline?”

The project will kick off at 8pm on Monday 4th March and run for 95 hours whilst we scramble to raise £95,000.

Rewards will begin processing as soon as the campaign ends. 

We’re estimating that Sticky will close at some point towards the end of April/ in May.

We’ll be back better than ever as soon as we can.
